INTERFERENCE WITH FLIGHT CREW MEMBERS OR FLIGHT ATTENDANTS
 
It is a federal offense to interfere with flight crew members or flight attendants while an aircraft is in flight within the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States. The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976 (RCRA) is an Act that regulates the generation, regulation, storage, disposal, and transportation of hazardous waste. Hazardous waste is defined as specific chemicals contained on EPA lists. Hazardous waste also includes waste that is ignitable, corrosive, reactive, or toxic. If a police officer has a reasonable basis for believing that a person is involved in criminal activity or is about to be involved in criminal activity, the officer has a right to make an investigative stop of that person. Another name for an investigative stop is a "Terry Stop," which name is taken from the United States Supreme Court case of Terry v. Ohio.
